It was good to compete at Baskervilles again. Thirteen S.T.A.G.S. gymnasts took part in this newly formatted competition in Bath. The main change from the Bath Area Competition which this competition has replaced, was that in our section, we had five set pieces of music to choose from for our floor routines. This was a new experience for us, we have always been able to edit out the bits of our music we did not want to use! Not this time! Some of the older gymnasts elected to make up their own choreography which was very successful.
The competition has three components floor, vault and trampet and we managed to gain individual medals in our section, in all three. Here is Poppy with our other medalists, Alice who was awarded the bronze medal for vault, Jessica who took bronze for trampet and Zaida Pwho took the silver medal for vault.
When each of the competitors marks on all three pieces of apparatus were totaled, overall gold silver and bronze medals were awarded. Zaida and Poppy just missed out coming 4th and 5th respectively.
