The annual Somerset Schools Floor and Vault Competition was held on Sunday, 24th June at Gemini Gymnasium in Nailsea.  113 competitors from schools all over Somerset took part.  This was a new venue for this competition and the gymnasts were delighted to be able to use the dynamic sprung floor for their  floor routines.

 Of the 19 STAGS gymnasts who took part only 3 came away without a medal of some kind! 

The most successful STAGS gymnast in the individual competition was Jessica, pictured left. Jessica managed to win 3 gold medals by coming first on floor, tied first on vault and first overall in the under 11 girls section.  Well done, Jess!

Joining Jessica, in the under 11 girls section, and tying for overall second place and silver medals, were Harriet right, and Katherine , further right.  It was Katherine who tied in first place for vault with Jessica, giving her one gold and one silver medal to take home.  Well done girls!

 

The most successful STAGS gymnasts in the team competition were the under 13 girls team representing Crispin School who won gold.  

STAGS gymnasts also won the overall under 11 boys individual silver medal, the overall under 13 boys individual silver medal and representing Crispin School the under 19 A & B teams took the silver and bronze medals respectively.
