Although our Year 11 gymnasts who were medal winners last year, were busy with public examinations this year and unable to compete, S.T.A.G.S. remaining contingent of 2 judges, 2 coaches, 15 gymnasts, their friends and family traveled to Bath on Sunday, 18th May to compete in this year's competition.  The only change from last year format was that the senior B girls were to furnish their own music for floor routines rather than choreographing to given set pieces.  This year we also entered competitors from the junior competition class, to compete at under 9 years and under 12 years, A levels

This is a 3 piece competition of floor vault and trampet and the Sunday competition, in which S.T.A.G.S. gymnasts were involved was divided into three sessions, each complete with its own presentation of medals and awards.  

Up first for S.T.A.G.S. in Session 2  O12 Kimberley  and U9s Scarlett , Ella  and Tegan . 

S.T.A.G.S. gymnast Kimberley came 1st on floor taking the gold medal and 4th in the O12's overall competition.



Eight year old, Scarlett turned out to be S.T.A.G.S. most successful gymnast of the day.  She took bronze medals in both floor and vault and her consistency though out gained her 2nd place and the silver medal winner in the U9 A overall competition. Her total score showed she was just 0.2 marks away from taking the overall gold medal and individual trophy.

 Below, the under 12s' competition was in the third and last session of the day with the U12s being by far the largest and therefore most competitive of the competitions. Nevertheless STAGS gymnasts took  silver and bronze medals for trampet and bronze for vault.

The last photograph of the afternoon shows some of the S.T.A.G.S. girls from the Session 3 Competition.  In the back row the O 12 medal winners who, not taking themselves too seriously, had nonetheless managed to gather 6 bronze medals and 2 silvers. They are joined by U12s and U9s from earlier in the day.
